Lemons & Vintage Holidays

Hello!

Can you believe we are just a few hours from Thanksgiving? I have been thinking of ways to make this year extra special after a year apart. Scroll down to see some of my favorite holiday traditions. I also wanted to let you know how things are going in the Well-Loved studio.

Well-Loved is a one woman operation, and surprise I am having my first child in late November/ early December! I decided that I would reflect my availability in my quantity levels. This means the current products quantities will only get lower as we move into the holiday season.

Also the lemon coin purses are back! I found the perfect yellow leather when I visited Horween Tannery in September and was able to bring them back with even better materials than before.

Holiday Traditions to Try!

  • Black Friday Crafting: Spend the day in your pajamas with a cup of hot chocolate and get your craft on! Here’s some of my favorite crafts: Vintage Fruit Ornament, Yarn Trees, & Family Photo Ornaments

  • Swedish Evenings: Have a fire and treat yourself to these amazing Swedish Cinnamon Rolls. I used to make these on Christmas morning, but it’s a fun surprise to have them on a winter evening instead.

  • Fancy Drinks: Old-Fashioned, Hemingway Daiquiri, & My Family’s Limoncello Recipe

  • Gingerbread Party: Every December 22, I gather all of my cousins and we make gingerbread houses together. You can use a mold or cut out the pieces from dough.

  • Christmas Eve Ravioli: This is perfect because you can make and freeze ahead of time. I use this dough recipe, but for the filling I cook ground beef, honey, goat cheese, and fresh oregano and thyme together.

  • Cookie Party: Put on your favorite holiday movie, make a batch of cocktails and bake some cookies with your friends. Here are some of my favorites: Ginger Molasses Cookies, Heart Shaped Kolachy,

  • Vintage Christmas: Put on Frank Sinatra’s Christmas station, make Pineapple Upside Down Cake and spend the night with friends making Vintage Ornaments.

Hoping your holiday season is wonderful and full of great memories!
