Holiday 2020: Home Away From Home

Hi Gianina here. I just did a holiday website refresh with photos from the latest shoot, and my inspiration was the idea of feeling at home in nature. I wanted it to feel very surreal like a beautiful scene you would stumble across hiking through the woods. I also wanted to find some magic in social distancing, and have been dreaming of ways to make the holidays feel special even though they are very different. I also think this shoot was an homage to the Midwest, which is always home in my heart.

I grew up in Chicago, and moving back to the midwest (Milwaukee) in 2016 was really significant for me. I was able to share my favorite things about the Midwest with my husband like snowy walks with hot chocolate, colorful Autumn leaves, and apple picking. In the past month I moved to Huntsville, AL for my husband’s dream job in the space industry and am carrying my favorite holiday traditions with me. If you’re curious about my new studio space, check out Instagram for a tour! Until Christmas, I will be sharing my favorite recipes, and crafts with you on here and social media to hopefully bring some magic to your holiday season!
